Entrepreneur Report from Silicon Valley Law Firm

Silicon Valley high tech legal powerhouse Wilson, Sonsini has released a report on Private Company Financing Trends.

Despite being labeled "Winter 2008" it has data covering all of 2008.  

The report has lots of details on VC funding of start-ups and early stage funding.  But the most telling chart, I think, is on VC confidence.  As the chart below shows, VCs ended 2008 in a bad mood.

I can add that based on recent conversations I have had with VC, their confidence has not improved since the end of the year.
