Government contracting is a big business. Many small businesses are making a killing from the government under the radar because most don't know it's an option. The government could get a bigger selection if they advertised their need for contractors more agressively, using online advertising sites like http://www.adwido.com to get the word out.

Small businesses SHOULD get their fair share of stimulus money, since we are the ones hobbling along with no credit to speak of. At least construction funding is finally starting to help my small business. But I'm sure they'll get their help eventually.
