Since the passage of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, we have been analyzing how the stimulus package will likely impact small businesses.
The goals and objectives of this work are simple:
1. since the package has passed and stimulus money is being spent, we want to understand where small businesses will benefit.
2. we want to alert small businesses to the opportunities presented by this very complex and multi-faceted piece of legislation.
And a quick summary of our work is: the U.S. government can't spend billions of dollars without creating opportunities for small businesses. Small businesses are simply too large a part of our economy (click here for our report).
Unfortunately, in today's highly charged political environment there is a lot of misinformation and misrepresentation around the stimulus package. This comes from all sides in the heated debates about the merits of the package.
Our concern - and a major reason we are doing this work - is that this misinformation will result in small businesses ignoring and/or missing out on business opportunities generated by the stimulus package.
So, if you are interested in a non-partisan view on the small business opportunities being created by the stimulus package - and how your small businesses can benefit - please join SBA Chief Economist Chad Moutray, Optimal Solutions CEO Sam Sliman and myself in a SAP sponsored webcast on this topic July 29th at 2:00pm eastern time. Note: this is an update of an early draft that was posted by mistake.

It's hard to know if my business will get a grant or not by this construction funding coming down the line. I can't afford to pay for a webinar when I don't have any construction jobs though.
