Farmers Market Numbers Continue to Increase

National Farmers Market Week starts August 7th, so make sure to stop by your local farmers market and buy something. This is getting easier because there are a lot more farmers than there used to be.

As the chart below from the USDA shows, the number of registered farmers markets increased 16% in 2010 to 6,132. This level of growth is expected to continue in 2011.

Wow. Congratulations to this wonderful track! Keep up the good work. I think this increase would really kick out the economic livelihood of farmers. Nice job!
