Like many baby boomers, I like Radio Shack and have many fond memories of shopping there with my Dad when I was a kid.
Unfortunately for Radio Shack, I've rarely shopped there as an adult.
That may change. According to the Wired article How Radio Shack Got Its Groove Back:
The company is embracing the maker spirit, turning space back over to such gear as 3-D printers and robot sets. In RadioShack's new Boston custom concept store, there is meeting space in the back to encourage DIY types to come in and collaborate on projects.
In other words, Radio Shack wants to be Maker Shack and get back to its roots - being MacGyver to MacGyvers.
I'm excited by the this shift and rooting for Radio Shack.
The video below shows a Radio Shack store being remodeled.
