A trend we've been following for years is the growing role of cellphones in daily life. A recent survey by the market research firm Synovate highlights how broad cell phone use in the US and the rest of the world.
Key findings of their survey include:
- 82% of Americans "never leave home" without their cellphone
- 42% say they "cannot live without" their cellphone
- 56% "sleep" with their cellphones (use them as alarm clocks, or at least I hope that's what this means)
The survey shows that 23% of respondents across 11 countries said they owned more than one cellphone.
A bit surprising, at least to me, is that 33% of the American respondents said they owned more than 1 cellphone.
While cellphone use has obviously become widespread - globally more people own cellphones than not - the role of the cellphone will continue to grow. Only 20% of Americans own smartphones and as that percentage grows so will the impact of cellphones.
Houses and cars are not cheap and not everyone can buy it. But, personal loans are invented to support different people in such situations.
